Conan Smith started his career in the training program at the New York office of the William Morris Agency. Through out his 14 years at the agency, he worked in several departments, quickly finding his niche in TV with a specialty in comedians and writers. At WME, Smith’s clients included, Ray Romano, Jon Stewart, Kevin James, Robert Klein, Colin Quinn, Tom Papa and many others in the comedy arena. In 2004 Smith left to work for the Endeavor Agency in their NY office where he started a comedy division that was instrumental in funneling emerging comedic talent to the other divisions of the agency. While at Endeavor, Smith signed clients, Blue Man Group, John Mulaney, Aziz Ansari, Artie Lange, Jim Breuer and Nick Kroll.
In 2007, Smith took his 17 years of agency experience with talent and buyers and joined Crossroads Films as an Executive Producer in their television division. He took original ideas and packaged them with talent to produce shows for TV and the web. Smith was also responsible for branding the content produced at Crossroads and forged relationships with advertisers to support that effort.
In October of 2010, Conan joined Apostle to start a talent management division for the production company. While at Apostle he continued to manage and develop several projects for multiple networks.
In March of 2013 Conan started Converge Media Group. He continues to represent
talent, develop television, film and branded entertainment projects. Conan lives
on Long Island with his wife and daughter.
