Mel Brooks shows off 11th finger on Hollywood Walk of Fame
The legendary comedian, actor and producer Mel Brooks cemented his name in Hollywood history on Monday with a classic Mel twist. Brooks was honored at the Chinese Theatre on the Walk of Fame with a cement block of his hand and shoe prints. The 88-year-old comedian wanted to leave a joke on the sidewalk for future tourists to see by wearing a prosthetic sixth finger on his left hand. Onlookers and press got a kick out of the gag and it goes to show that a sense of humor doesn’t die with age. Brooks is best known for his classic comedy films such as Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein and The Producers, for which he won an Academy Award.
